chelsea skirt - red newspaper
Straight out of the 60s. This is a super high-waisted A-line mini skirt. Cut for the most flattering fit with a cinched waist and wide hips. Slightly longer in the back for style and comfort. Back zip closure. Dress down with a vintage tee and knee boots, or style for a night-out with a strapless top and kitten-heels. Matching scrunchie included!
Our entire vintage-fabric line is made using remnants dating 1930-1989, meaning each piece has zero environmental impact and is what we like to call few-of-a-kind™. We only found enough of this cotton (circa 1990s) to make 8 skirts! Made in NY by our legendary seamstress. BTW these skirts run smaller than our usual sizes, so size up if in doubt— for a perfect fit, measure the smallest part of your waist (above the belly button). This best fits a 23 inch waist in XS, 25 in S, 27 in M, 29 in L, and 31 in XL (and if we are sold out, you're out of our size range, or you'd like a custom piece, check out made-to-order).
*Please note, this piece is upcycled from pre-consumer vintage textiles (aka a fancy way of saying recycled), so the fabric content not always guaranteed (our specialists assess). Dry clean only (poly/cotton chelsea skirts can be washed cold/hung dry). Also try lazy washing: pat odorous spots with vodka/place in the freezer for a day.
