amsterdam shorts - upcycled tablecloth

These are some really special handmade girl of the earth pieces! Our legendary NYC-based seamstress hand-cuts each one-of-a-kind pair from vintage tablecloths (usually white embroidered linen). The silhouette is our classic amsterdam shorts (perfect-fitting suit-style shorts with a flared wide-leg silhouette and cinched super-high-waist). Exposed invisible zip with a 1960s mother-of-pearl button closure. Comfortable enough for an airplane styled with a vintage tee and boots, but also can be easily dressed up to go out with a tube top and slingback kitten heels.

BTW our sizes may run slightly small, so measure yourself— these best fit a 23-24 inch waist in XS, 25-26 in S, 27-28 in M, 29-30 in L, and 31-32 in XL (and if we're sold out or you'd like something custom to your measurements, check out our made-to-order page).

*Please note, these materials were upcycled from pre-consumer vintage textiles, aka a fancy way of saying recycled. This means the fabric can be delicate, and the content not guaranteed (our specialists assess). Dry clean preferred (if it's cotton or poly wash cold and hang dry)— and try lazy washing: spot-clean, pat odorous areas with vodka, and place in the freezer for a day.
